Airing dirty laundry: Officials search for man following domestic dispute

LUCERNE VALLEY - A Sheriff’s helicopter circled the skies over Lucerne Valley Wednesday night as deputies on the ground trailed a man on the run who authorities said was not located that night.

The incident began over laundry, said Sgt. Blane Chambers of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Victor Valley station.

He said that a group of roommates who live in the 32500 block of Highway 18 got into an argument over the wash and Warren Fisher, 20, allegedly began yelling at a woman. When the woman’s boyfriend stepped in Fisher is said to have hit the victim on the head giving him a laceration, but no serious injuries, Chambers said.

“It was your basic yelling match over nothing but it turned physical,” Chambers said. “(Fisher) took off when he knew the cops had been called.”

Chambers said that while the initial incident would likely been seen as a misdemeanor and Fisher probably wouldn’t have gone to jail, the fact that he tried to run from authorities made the situation more serious.

A helicopter was circling over Nelson Studios on Highway 18 as the man reportedly ran through a field there.

“They were just never able to locate him,” Chambers said.

Authorities would like to speak with Fisher and ask that anyone who knows of his whereabouts call the Sheriff’s Department.
