Custodian Debbie Cosato has been voted Staff Member of the Month by Lucerne Valley High School students, while Danny Jauregui has been named Student of the Month by the School’s teachers.

Cosato has worked at the school for 18 years, and she previously worked at the elementary school. She has lived in Lucerne Valley for 21 years.

Cosato said she was “very surprised” by the honor. She’s known around campus as a hard worker with a cheerful attitude.

Jauregui was voted Homecoming King and is a senior captain of the school’s football team.

Teachers know him as a dedicated student who contributes to his classes.

“Danny is about the best sort of kid you can get,” football coach Chris Klinger said. “He’s responsible he, keeps his grades up. He’s got a lot of respect and integrity.”
