Three vehicles involved in collision on Highway 18

LUCERNE VALLEY • Three people were injured last week in a three-vehicle collision in the area of Buena Vista and Highway 18, California Highway Patrol Officials said.
A white Acura sedan driven by Karen Chutsky of Ogunquit, Maine, and a green Mercury sedan driven by Gary White of Lucerne Valley were both badly damaged in the collision at around 2:40 p.m. on Oct. 27.

A white Dodge pickup driven by Dustin Renn of Apple Valley suffered minor damage.

Detailed information on the collision was not available as of press time, but a preliminary CHP investigation indicated that the pickup truck may have been traveling too fast for prevailing conditions, CHP Officer Melanie Weaver said.

Information on the injured parties — or the extent of their injuries — was not released by the CHP.
