VICTORVILLE • The Lucerne Valley High School boys basketball team started the second half of its season with a bang, routing Victor Valley Christian 58-31 on Friday night.
Lonye Logan and Daniel Stratton scored 22 points each as the Mustangs defeated the Royals. Logan also grabbed 10 rebounds, and Stratton had five assists and six steals.
Gavin White had 10 rebounds and eight steals, and Alondre Logan added 11 rebounds.
Tony Morgan led Victor Valley Christian with 11 points.
There was some confusion about the time and place of the game due to an error on the team’s MaxPreps.com schedule, which stated that the game would be played at LVHS at 7:30 p.m. The game was in fact played at 5 p.m. at Victor Valley Christian.
The Mustangs (6-4) were scheduled to travel to Joshua Springs in Yucca Valley on Tuesday and will return home Friday at 6:30 p.m. to take on Academy for Academic Excellence.
