San Bernardino County Third District Supervisor Neil Derry has vowed to be interactive with the people of Lucerne Valley. He’s ready to start making good on that promise next week.

Tonight's (Jan. 24) meeting of the Municipal Advisory Council will feature a town hall meeting with Derry, the new supervisor for the Lucerne Valley area.

The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, which will take place tonight at 5 p.m. at the Lucerne Valley Community Center.

It was announced last fall that Lucerne Valley would be added to Derry’s Third District.

“My goal since the election (in 2008) is to be visible and be as much a part of these communities as possible,” Derry told The Leader when the redistricting announcement was made. “I look forward to listening, first and foremost.”

The Lucerne Valley Community Center is located at 33187 Old Woman Springs Road, just east of the Janice Horst Lucerne Valley Library and just west of Pioneer Park.
